The best I’ve ever had was in Jerusalem. They served them with chicken or lamb, with grilled vegetables, lots of thick tzatziki, and with a side of the greasiest french fries in the world. AH! There is a Greek Orthodox church near my apartment that has a festival a couple times a year and the food is awesome. It’s all home style Greek stuff right down to a whole lamb on a spit in the front of the building. Good times.
