I am thrilled that you responded with your adaptations. My daughter is also allergic to peanuts (and tree nuts), so this is perfect for us. I didn’t know about the Sixlets and am so excited to see that they are a safe substitution for M&M’s! Thank you!!

I actually use M&Ms for each holiday season and use colored sprinkles accordingly. Tonight I’m making a Christmas batch using red and green M&Ms and colored sprinkles to look like Christmas lights.

This was delicious and a hit for Easter! I used white Wilton Candy Melts for the bunny bait. I am using orange, lime green and black candy melts (separately,maybe)with candy corn colored M&M’s and real candy corn in this one along with the pretzels and maybe some orange sprinkles for Halloween.
