Back in August hubby and I had vacation plans to go to Mexico for a week for our anniversary, but thanks to dadgum Hurricane Gustav, we had to reschedule. So guess what....ITS TIME TO GO TO MEXICO!!! Finally!!! I'll be back in a week - see ya then!!!

When you get back from your trip, I would love for you to show us how to make some deer chili. Its that time of year for it and I just dropped a 12 point at the lease.

3 alarm chili would be preferable. Oohh, and if you have some extra time - how about some step by step instructions for some gourmet venison jerky! Need some extra snacks at camp.

Dear "3 Bills", thank you for your interest in my blog and thanks for your interesting requests- I'll see what I can do. You know, I have some old friends- Kirk and Kyle- you may know them...maybe you've seen them around the lease from time to time. They're usually oafing around shooting at anything that moves (not very good hunters I'm afraid, bless their sweet, clumsy little hearts). Anyway, I think they're also big fans of venison chili. Welcome!
After being inspired by the "world of food blogging", I decided to try my hand at one of my own. I decided to call my new food blog “Sing For Your Supper” for a couple of reasons: 1. I love to sing and am lucky enough to be able to do it for a living (no, I'm not a pop star or anything - I sing opera); 2. I also happen to be a Broadway junkie, and there's a song from the Broadway show, The Boys from Syracuse, called “Sing For Your Supper” that I always get stuck in my head. It goes, “Sing for your supper, And you'll get breakfast, Songbirds always eat, If the song is sweet....” and as I was trying to think of a blog name, those words hit me and I just couldn't resist! And obviously, the third and very obvious reason I chose this title...it has to do with singing and food. That one pretty much explains itself, I'd say. :-) I absolutely love being in my kitchen. I am lucky enough to have a husband who will eat anything I put in front of him, which makes cooking very fun! Please be patient with me as I grow and learn, and please feel free to leave comments/advice! Enjoy!
